Investigate sustainable flooring options

Swap to sustainable carpet options that can be repurposed, recycled or are made using recyclable products e.g. Rewind Sustainable Carpet

Consider a modular solution - it's quicker to lay, lighter to transport and much better for the planet - likely to cost more than basic wooden construction but much faster to lay so a possible saving in labour. Reduction in bespoke cuts and waste.

Promote the use of carpet tiles to exhibitors from suppliers that take them back and recycle them. Consider using carpet tiles in gangways.  Need to make sure that the cleaning products of the tiles are toxin free so as not to cause another environmental impact elsewhere.

If you decide against using carpet, consider the 'cost' of the alternatives - If you require your venue to paint or re-condition the floor, have you factored in the chemicals and process to your calculations?

Lack of carpet is not always the most sustainable choice!
