People work best when they are fed, watered and get regular, if short, breaks.

Maximise your, your team's and suppliers productivity by ensuring well being.

Your team will love you for thinking about them and caring for their wellbeing, but you are also maximising productivity.

An Ops Nest member reported offering catering at their event as follows;

  • Management were invited to partake and enjoyed the results!
  • The company saved money and so did our crew. Breaks were shorter and more frequent.
  • Productivity increased over the day despite less actual 'worked' hours.

Some tips

  1.   Maintain careful control over what is being prepared and how it's prepared.No one will thank you for filling the hall with food smells (good or bad).
  2. Hygiene is essential; cleanliness of any equipment used, in-date contents etc. This is most helpful when working early or late hours when concessions may not be open.
  3. Cost of food in some venues remains high during build and breakdown & can be prohibitive. You don't need to build a kitchen, or employ Gordon Ramsey. There are ways to manage this with minimal cost/ impact on the workspace.
